Our Mission
Eliminate the context-switch tax for ML/CS academics
ResearchFlow was born from frustration. As graduate students, we spent more time managing PDFs, formatting citations, and searching for that one paper we read last month than we did actually thinking about research.
We built the tool we wished we had: an AI-native workspace that unifies citation graphs, literature clusters, experiment outputs, and manuscripts in one place. So researchers can focus on what matters—advancing knowledge.
In One Sentence
“An AI-native research workspace that eliminates the context-switch tax for ML/CS academics by unifying citation graphs, literature clusters, experiment outputs, and manuscripts in one place.”
Our Values
How we work
Researchers First
Every feature, every design decision, every line of code is evaluated against one criterion: does this help serious researchers publish better work? We build for the PhD student grinding toward their first NeurIPS paper, not the casual browser.
Depth > Breadth
We'd rather do three things exceptionally well than ten things adequately. Research workflows are complex enough without bloated software. We focus on deep integration between citation management, literature review, and manuscript preparation.
Taste Matters
Academic tools have suffered from poor design for too long. Researchers deserve software that's as thoughtful and well-crafted as their own work. We sweat the details because we know you do too.
Don't Ship Slop
Features only ship when they meet rigorous standards. We'd rather delay a release than ship something half-baked. Your research is too important to trust to slapdash tools.
What We Believe
Core convictions
Research velocity is bottlenecked by tooling fragmentation
Not by intellectual capacity. The smartest researchers lose hours daily to context-switching between PDF readers, citation managers, note-taking apps, and writing tools. We unify these into one seamless workspace.
Context is everything in research
A paper means something different when you're reading it for background versus when you're citing it as related work versus when you're critiquing its methodology. ResearchFlow preserves and surfaces this context automatically.
AI should amplify researcher judgment, not replace it
We're not building tools that write your papers for you. We're building tools that handle the mechanical work—formatting citations, finding related papers, organizing notes—so you can focus on thinking.
Academic research deserves better than consumer-grade tools
Researchers perform some of the most cognitively demanding work in the world. They shouldn't be stuck with software designed for casual use. We build professional-grade tools for professional researchers.
Who We Build For
The ambitious researcher
Our ideal users are PhD students, postdocs, and ambitious undergrads publishing at top venues like ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, ACL, CVPR, and major systems conferences.
They read dozens of papers per week. They maintain extensive literature reviews. They run experiments that generate gigabytes of outputs. They collaborate with co-authors across time zones. They care deeply about accuracy and rigor.
If this sounds like you, we're building ResearchFlow for you.
